Hi there! I need a little help because I only found out this just now.
A little background, so my husband and I submitted our Spousal Sponsorship + OWP Application in March 2020. As of now we still haven’t heard about it even my AOR.
So I just read today that OWP will expire depending on the validity of your passport. In my case, my passport will expire on March 2021. I’m worried that since I have no news about my OWP yet it will be received maybe few months from now and by that time it’s just a short period because it will expire on March 2021.
My question is if I renew my passport now and notify them with the changes, even though they prolly haven’t touched my application yet, will they issue an OWP that will expire in 2 years? And if they issued my OWP that will expire on March 2021 (old passport) can I extend my OWP? Do you know how long it will take as per the processing time? Will it be another 4 months and $255?
