Hi,

I have a Valid LMO based WP and VISA process by my Indian employer for a client in Ontario. I am no longer working for that Client but still employed with Indian company. Can I use this VISA for visiting Canada if I travel by myself with no work ..? Or I should have a separate Tourist Visa?

Thanks
Manni

if you havent gone canada and work visa is just issue to you thi is my analysis:

my impression is you can apply visitors's visa but the problem would be they will track down your issued work visa and yet you never able to use and just stays as is. if you will be further questioned by the v.o. chances are the work visa stamped in your passport might be revoked due to the client of your company who are supposed to be your work sponsor in ontario never pushed thru. actually you cannot hide it due to the information data about you after the work permit was issued to you that is not yet used due to there will be no record that you've gone canada and issued a work permit for the employer...

the moment you touchdown canada possesing work visa stamped on your passport, they will ask for a clearance document stating your employer and naming you as their employee that acknowledges they hired you as whatever position recorded in the database of immigration.

if you pass on as visitor visa and entering canada finding out your work visa still in effectivity, they will ask for your unexpired or valid work permit and employer's acknoledgment letter that still hiring you.

verification is very strict and one cannot escape the data information of every person passsing in and out of canada...i hope i help!
