All:

I need help deciding which of these programs to apply for: FSW / QSW / Alberta.

* I am working in technology marketing in US. I am on H1B. I have worked for 2 years in US on H1B.
* I did my MBA in Marketing from a reputed US University.
* Prior to MBA, I have a software development/project management background.
* I do NOT have a job offer from Canada.

I may lose job any minute and finding job in US has become very very very difficult. So I want to get PR in Canada to safeguard myself and also look for jobs in Canada.

Which of these paths will give me the best chances of success: FSW or QSW or Alberta?

* QSW: I do not know any French. So I am reluctant to apply for QSW. But I took the evaluation test and this is what it had to say:

It seems that you meet the Québec selection criteria. You may now submit an official immigration application. If you apply as a worker, consult the section Application for Selection Certificate and appendices - Permanent workers.

* AINP: My occupation/role fits into one of the occupations listed by Alberta (Sales, Marketing and Advertising Managers). Is it worth trying AINP? I know software industry is not strong in Alberta. But I think once I get a PR, I can try jobs anywhere.

* FSW: I fit into one of the occupations listed under FSW (0213: Computer and Information Systems Managers). So I am qualified to apply for FSW as well.

I just want to know which of these gives me the best chances of success.

Thanks in advance!

FSW if good for you, if you qualified and get points 67points then apply for FSW (Federal). one more thing get ready and clear IELTS general training. read more in this forum. I am also on H1B and planed to move canada as backup.

I am on H1 as well, completed both bba and mba from usa. I haven't submitted my US green card application yet but have applied for canadian PR. .. are you guys taking IELTS, i was thinking about writing a letter instead of taking the test.. i have two degree from US .. isn't that enough to prove english proficiency ? .. I need 4 points in language to qualify..

subhash, you can write letter but if VO is not satisfied then he will reject it and never ask for resubmit of IELTS, its depend on VO to accept/reject. better seat for IELTS and clear some level of which you need for language points, IELTS GT for thoese whoes mother tounge is not english or he/she not belongs to english native country.
I also have master degree from USA but I must seat for IELTS.
