Guys
I landed today without my family, I had new baby few months ago , she is born in USA and she is a USA citizen unlike me and the rest of my dependents. She came by the end of the PR process and I decided not to add her to my application as she will have a US passport and will be easily moving to and from Canada.
When they asked me today about any other dependents I denied and I signed for that.
Please tell me what should I do and what is gonna happen?
Thank you

Hi,

I think you made a mistake by not informing the visa officer when your new baby was born and you made a further big mistake by denying today because later on you will have to inform them about your dependent when she will travel with you to Canada and at that time they will ask for the birth certificate which will clearly show that she was born before you got your PR. I cant say anything what you can do now but experts like , Leon, Maaties, Qorax may help you.

Cheers
Saki

There is another option is to let them land 1st time without her , they will be back to usa next day. But what will be the situation when she goes back again to Canada with us?

I really did not want my new baby to be an immigrant to canada as she already is a us citizen, this is why i thought there is no need to add her

There was no need to hide the fact of your new born child, one of my fren who's daughter born in USA while he has PR in process, but he informed the VO and enter with no issues

Its upto you if you want to use PR for your US citizen kid, I work here in canada and my client manager she is born in UK and till today she is on PR and have not surrendered her UK passport...

man you made a mistake and how to rectifiy I am sure no one can give you sure shot solution here in this forum, better visit CIC office and discuss with them.

I remeber there was a thread someone from pakistan - his spouse did not declare about the marriage at the time to PR landing and when her husband applied for family class he got refusal, bcoz in CIC records his spouse has never mentioned that she was married at the time to PR landing...

With her US passport, your daughter can be in Canada without visa for 180 days per year only. She cannot be with you forever without a PR.

1. The OP misrepresented himself when he "landed" by not declaring the child. He now could be subject to a report and possible removal.
2. The child is no longer a member of the family class and can't be sponsored as s/he wasn't examined.
3. The only way the child can become a PR is through a Sec 25(1) Humanitarian and Compassionate application, if the sponsor is not reported.
