Hello members, I was reading this forum...my spouse is a Green card holder, but he has a misdemeanor conviction which is on his record. He got his Green card after the conviction and when he completed his sentence.
I was wandering if he travels to canada...is it going to be a problem for him to come back?

Please repond.
Thanks

Depends on the conviction. If was for DUI he is inadmissible.

If the petty larceny can be equated to theft under $5000 under the Criminal code of Canada Sec 334, unless 10 years have passed, he would be inadmissible and require rehabilitation. See: http://www.cic.gc.ca/manuals-guides/english/enf/enf02e.pdf Section 13.1
You may wish to read http://geo.international.gc.ca/can-am/buffalo/visas/inadmissible-en.asp as to the steps that are required so that he can visit Canada.
