Yay!! Congrats sassy! We have been trying to get pregnant and is why I stay so long and went so many times. lol Nothing happened. Once thought I was and was 23 days late. They gave me an untrasound there and took a picture of a cyst in my ovary. I brought it to my doctor here in May and I waited to get into a fertilty specialist. I had my first consult in Sept. My husband had his sperm analyzed in Cuba and I brought back the report. Everything was ok. So, I just went last week to have my uterus and fallopian tubes xrayed. Everything is ok there too. Most women get pregnant after this xray because it flushes things out, wish hubby was here...lol. It's makes you more fertile for up to 6 months. I'm scheduled to go back to Cuba December 10. End of the month I have to have blood work to see if I'm ovulating on my own at all. Then will start me on fertility drugs. She took blood last week too and told me I'm not too old to have a baby (I'm 35). So.... haha this is why I want to go down for 'a weekend'. I want to make a baby! lolol I guess I can tell immigration too that I didn't go on my September-October trip because I was doing fertility things here to be fertile when I get there!! I'm so worried that we have this gap in our trips.

Have you picked out names Sassy?
DDG...I am sorry to hear it is taking so much. I can only imagine how difficult it must be. We spend so many of our younger years trying to avoid pregnancy...and when we want to....so difficult. I know so many woman who are trying and they live with their partners. You have to co-ordinate your travels around it. It sounds like you are both healthy and able to conceive. It is just REALLY hard to co-ordinate the timing...I suppose you have already read tips and stuff right? One I read in my pregnancy book is make sure you are "satisfied" too: ) And best after he finishes. The contractions of the muscles during a female O helps draw the sperm up : ) My bestie tried for a year before she conceived her now beautiful 3 year old. 2 months after she started to do ovulation strips she was pregnant. She swears by it. Here are some more stats (again if you already know this sorry) but it might make you feel better:
Women in their early 30s (u are mid so this counts for you :p ) have a 10-15% chance of conceiving any month, it takes an average of 6.7 to 10 months to conceive and the probability that you'll conceive within one year is 72 - 86%. So if it does not happen before he gets here. You have a REALLY good chance of conceiving within the year after he arrives. You just need the chance to to the baby dance EVERY month. We are your cheerleaders (as Avana always says) you can do it!!!!

Mine has said medical received since I was approved as a sponsor.
I wouldn't worry. If they didn't have his medical I'm sure they would have let you know.

I would rather that my ecas looked like yours with an interview date ;-)

LuvCuba, sweetie I would not worry. If they had no medicals you would not be with an interview date. Trust me, it is the top priority for canada along with the criminal record. I am sure they just forgot to plug that note in.

Heyyyyyy everyone!! I'm baaaaaack! What a crazy weekend it has been, and came back with a fever and terrible cough, but I had 49 amazing hours with hubby and it was well worth it! Landed in Varadero Friday morning and got pulled out by immigration to get interrogated by 2 pretty intimidating ladies, but obviously they let me go in the end. then we talked to a guy for 3 hrs trying to rent a car to avoid the overnight viazul, finally got one for a nice little negocio tip, drove 10 hours.. well 9, hubby drove for one until I couldnt take the stress anymore of him driving, got pulled over by the cops, had a WONDERFUL party all day Saturday and was once again reminded that they know how to party! and left this morning (sniff, sniff) only to get interrogated again. UGGGHHH. lol oh well, it all worked out.. think they got suspicious of my weekend trips all over cuba... lol

Welcome to the ppsandy! I am from Quebec and it took 25 working days for me to get a response... They claim 20 but apparently getting more apps now than before. One of the reasons I was there this week was to bring him his CSQ so hes all ready when he gets a call from havana...

Hope you ladies had a wonderful wknd. Cant believe how fast it went! back to work tomo for 11 hrs ??? lol

Luvcuba.....they would have caught the no medical at the beginning of the sponsorship if they did not have....do not worry....the important thing is you have your interview date......

yes that is a tough decision to make whether to go or not it is a very personal choice and there is no right or wrong answer.....money aside luvcuba...what do you feel in your heart.......if you feel the need to be there to support him then that is your answer.........your hubby will not put undue pressure on you for sure but I can guarantee if you are there he is going to feel that much better and that much more confident......

Glad you are back safe and sound.....I am just getting over my cough....gotta love airplane air!!!

Welcome Home Avana!!
I want to know more about the immigration. Are they weighing the luggage now or anything? I have never had one problem ever going through Holguin, and I take 150 lbs. I want to know what to expect since all the changes. If I shouldn't take any weight this time. Hard to travel light for Christmas. Is looking like I do need to go in November LOL.

Thanks for the stats sandy, that cheered me up!! :D I'm sure it will happen in God's time. I'm sure it's the stress of this immigration stopping it!
