This message is to enquire about the question “Has this person ever used any other name?” in EE profile.

In my passport my name is written as First Name: Abc, Last Name: Uvw Xyz

In the marriage certificate my name is written as Abc U X


In my wife’s passport her name is written as First Name: Aaa, Last Name: Xxx

In the marriage certificate her name is written as Aaa X


Do I need to answer yes to the question “Has this person ever used any other name” for both cases?

I am planning provide one and the same person affidavit but I am not sure if I need to answer 'Yes' to the question “Has this person ever used any other name”?.

I had almost the same situation and said yes to the question and provided a Letter Of Explanation and explained the situation.

If you say yes, you will be provided to upload an LOE and any other documents.

I'm in a similar situation as well.

My last name on Passport and other govt issued IDs is: Gadhavi
My last name on educational credentials, WES assessment, and work-related documents is: Gadhvi

Noticing, that my last names differ by an alphabet a, should I answer 'Yes' to the question 'Has this person ever used any other name?', in my PR (e-APR) form?
If I answer yes, what should I select for 'Type of name'? Should I select 'Birth' or 'other'?

Any suggestions?
