I took the test in July 2021, I plan to renew my permanent resident card because i plan to travel. my question is: if I receive the invitation to the ceremony, can I take it with my current PR card and tear it up? or will they ask me to wait to get the new PR card and tear it up in front of them too?

No, you can attend the ceremony with your current PR card. Just let IRCC officials at the ceremony know about your PR card renewal application and I guess they'll be able to send a request internally to cancel the application.

I applied for PR card renewal back in June. I took oath two weeks ago. I don’t know what will happen to my applications. Once they start working on my application, most probably they will know that I am already a citizen so they might reject my PR card renewal

When renewing the card you keep the old one. Tell them during the oath you have applied for renewal. They will probably cancel the renewal internally, and ask you to cut the old one.
