My marital status is Legally separated.

The next question it asks is "Has X been previously married or in a common-law relationship? "
What should I enter here? Does it need my current marriage details (but since we havent got divorce yet, it would not be "previous marriage" right?)

or previous marriage details(if any)?

I am confused what to enter here. Kindly advice what do.

Interesting question. If, in your country, legal separation is distinct from divorce, then yes, you are right, you would still be considered a married person (I believe there are some countries in the world where divorce isn't allowed so the term "legal separation" essentially may act as a proxy to marriage dissolution...I don't know how things would work if you're from such a country). So it boils down to how the jurisdiction where your marriage took place characterizes legal separation. Having said that, for the purposes of the question above, "legal separation" as understood under common law should mean you are still a married person. So feel free to answer the relevant questions accordingly. Add a couple of sentences in the LOE about the matter. You should be fine saying you're still married (but legally separated). Keep in mind that you may need to provide a bunch of information about your spouse in the eAPR, which may not be to your liking (hopefully, you're still in good enough terms with your ex).

I hope this helps. I invite others to weigh in. Best wishes to you.

Dear vyser, how did it go with your application? How did you answer to the previous marriage question and did you put your separated spouse on your immediate family members?

I have exactly the same situation with you in these points.

Thank you.
