Currently, I'm hired under a company that officially has me as an "independent contractor" but in practice, I'm everything but a contractor. I work 8 hours a day, I have a fixed schedule, everything I do has to be approved by my supervisor, they make my invoices, and more. Under these criteria, I count as an employee rather than a contractor, as mentioned in this page: https://www.canada.ca/en/revenue-agency/services/forms-publications/publications/rc4110/employee-self-employed.html
Since I'm hoping to file for Permanent Residence under Canadian Experience Class, I want to change my status to an employee so this can count towards my application. To do this, I must file a ruling. Has anyone completed the CPT1 form for immigration or otherwise? Any advice under this would help.
