Has any1 received rejection after 'In Process' status on Ecas

Hi all,

Just want to get a consensus from all if 'In process' is equivalent to eligibility requirements being met? I have seen on this forum applications being rejected within 2-3 months of being received by CIC i.e. not even changing to In process if eligibility requirements are not met e.g. work hours, education, NOC etc. I basically want to get an idea if 'In process' applicants most of the time get PPR or not. Many thanks in advance for sharing your experiences.

No one knows the inner workings of CIC and trying to guess what everything means only leads to undue stress. Whatever the decision, you will be informed by email or letter. Worrying does not change the outcome one way or another, so relax and go about your daily life.

No, it does not mean that. It simply means it has passed the initial completeness review and has been accepted for processing. That entails security & criminality checks, medical exam, and determination of eligibility.

It also means your application will not be returned to you, nor your application fee. But CIC could still ask for more documents.

Thanks JES_ON. actually the general trend i see on trackitt and other forums is that when the applicant gets In Process i.e. ,we started processing your application, they generally get approved. The apps that are rejected dont usually get updated on E-CAS to that. Just my observation which may very well be wrong, but thanks for sharing your ideas guys... just trying to understand CIC a bit better lol
