Has a valid visitor visa until end feb but I can't make to Canada before March

Hey guys, I have a valid visitor visa in my passport until end of Feb 2016 and have travelled to Canada twice but very short visit during christmas break and fall break from USA. Now, I have a coming holiday in March and want to visit Canada to see my relatives. My question is that I am planning to apply for temporary resident visa now in order to get the visa by March but can I apply for the visa even I have a valid visitor visa.

You can but you have to apply AFTER the TRV is expired. If you wish to do it before then do it as close to the expiration date as possible, as this would fall under CIC's assessment on whether to give you a new TRV with one expiring, and ther eis a good chance your application would be rejected as you can't have two valid TRVs.

Does this work??? If I upload all my documents online but submitted it by feb 26 which is one day later of my visa expiration.
