Had to change admission date, do i need to reapply for a new CAQ?

I got an unexpected refusal for a study permit and my semester begins on jan 9 and it's written on caq that my studies begin on this date also, so now I'm posponing my admission till sep 11, do i need to reapply for new CAQ or can I reapply for a study permit right away and reapply for a new CAQ later if I don't manage to finish my studies before it's expiration date?

1. You will need to apply for a new CAQ.
2. To reuse the same CAQ, you must not postpone by more than 1 semester. And, you have January to September deferral.

But my deferral is 9 months and not year
