Hello!

I am currently in USA, working under a H1B visa. I would like to visit Canada urgently(In about a week or two) to meet some family, just for a couple of days. Is it possible to visit Canada and get a visa on arrival, or do I have to go through the process to obtain a Canadian visa?. If I have to go through the process to get a visit visa to Canada, how long will it take, and what is the process? Currently, I am holding an Indian Passport, if it makes any difference...

Any quick help in this regard would be highly appreciated......

Unfortunately visit visas are not issued on arrival. You will have to apply in advance.

I think it's probably unlikely you'll have an approved visa in just a week or his two. Based on the posts on this forum. I think you're looking at more like 3-4 weeks.

Should the application be done through me as a separate individual, or is it better if my friend(Canadian Passport holder...) sponsors me? Which will be faster?

Thank You in advance.
