H1b renewal as reason for TRV application

Hello my girlfriend is applying to come visit me in Canada. I am on a work permit here.

Incidentally she also has to get her H1-B visa stamped.

My question:

Along with visiting boyfriend, should I mention H1-B renewal also as a reason? Have anyone else done that?

Any advise on the above would be welcome.

I dont know if it would become a problem of overstay if you tell about relationship with someone inside the country.
I would just tell only for H1 stamping reason to keep it simple and more logical to appear for cbsa to avoid any suspicion on potential overstay.
Both are foreigner hence i hesitate to add relationship reason.

Think about it. Wait for others' suggestion and take a call.

hey harirajmohan thanks for your reply. To be honest, we are reapplying her TRV application. She had applied in March 2021 but to border closure, her application remains in limbo.


In her previous application she had mentioned the relationship as a reson to visit. Since then her H-1b has come up for renewal and hence we were wondering if H1b Is a safer reason?


Lets see what others think...it makes it harder as there is no clarity on such cases on what to do...

If its already been mentioned then dont change the story. It should be fine.
Just need to make sure the candidate needs to have strong base in US to return back hence whatever the reasons the candidate can explain at the border will be the preparation if asked.
