H1B Moving to Canada on Open work permit

Hi All,

Happy new year to all visiting my post. I married a girl who is in on her study visa in Canada now(soon will apply for work permit -probably in Feb). I am on H1B visa and working as software engineer in United states. I want to obtain open work permit at earliest to move Canada, what the best approaches to get OWP at earliest. I heard there are two methods one is inland/outbound etc, Please guide me the efficient one so that we both work and live together.

Also, I want to know the prospects of applying PR after getting OWP as i belong specialty occupation (NOC:2171),.
Am I eligible to apply to PR when am on open work permit in both specified scenarios below.
1. Choose to remain and work in US, applying to PR with a OWP obtained from CIC
2. Working and living in Canada with OWP, Applying PR for OWP .

No point in applying until your wife has PGWP, a job in NOC 0, A or B and 3 paystubs or you can apply together if your wife is already working. Spousal sponsorship if one spouse is a PR is when inland and Outland sponsorship is relevant. You will have to look to see if you qualify for PR and apply to the various programs.
