but today i went to notarize birth and marriage certificate for me and my wife, but the lady wasn't able to do that, the originals are copies in arabic and i have them translated into english. she said it is against the california law to notarize birth and marriage certificates.
what should i do in this case?
or do the copies of passport, birth certificate, marriage certificate, police records have to be notarized?
please advise

Look for another notary who is really understands notary process. When I was preparing docs for AINP, a notary said that state law doesn't allow to notarize immigration docs. I told her that my friends are applying for the same and they got their passport and i797 notarized. She replied that they were doing it against law and that notarized docs are invalid. mmm.....what to do...I just went to another notary and got the passport and visa docs notarized.

I don't know who was correct. All that I needed is a notary sign and seal on the doc and I got it.

Here, my docs were in English. If your problem is because the docs are in different language, then I don't know if approaching another notary would help. You may search for a notary who understands your language.

Hi Guys,

I am in NJ...Did anybody try to sbumit application for Indian PCC.... if so where did u get the photos taken... Its says that we need to have 3.5*3.5cm with white background... I checked in sears and picture people and they told that they dont have such a template... any advice is appreciated...
