but i think this is one of the subjects in information technology... so why a person with b tech in eng wud b int in information technology???

i dont think its a mis match..and otherwise if u feel so u can write a strong SOP to convince VO that how dis course gonna benefit ua career..so dont wry if u really want to go with this!!

see even in b.tech comp sci we have courses related to information security management
the major diff in b.tech IT n b.tech CS is dat in CSE focus is given to hardware side too, but in IT courses are more inclined to use of IT in practical life...rest courses related to softwares are almost same.....
