Hello,

Can somebody please shed some light on this scenario..

5 years ago, i submitted an application for PR under the federal skilled worker category. It has been in process ever since. However, I am in canada now on a work permit. a few days ago, i got a letter from CIC informing me and my dependents to undergo the medical exams and submit additional docs ( application for PR under the federal skilled worker category) I did mine here in Regina and my family did theirs in manila. The letter also states that after abt 3 months, we should expect a letter from CIC as they will request that we submit our passports for visa stamping ( should we be approved).

My questions are:
1. I am already in canada now, should i also submit my passport to CIC manila for visa stamping??
2. How do i 'land' ? do i need to go out of Canada and get in again to Land?
3. do i need to show any proof of settlement funds even if I am employed here in canada already?
thank you for your feedbacks.

1) If you can send and your passport by courier and later u r family bck home can do the same then no probs.
2) You can do landing process in you local CIC office without going outside Canada. Google for local CIC office and then find the nearest one. You have to go their with your passport (some offices offer phone appointment) and book appointment, you can request urgent treatment as they will give u appointment in range of 2-4 weeks. Your family can land later on.
3) Take letter from your employer, which specify your wage will do. (As I sent a letter to Buffalo mentioning my wage on advice of career service advisor from my university with other proof of funds.)

Good luck
