Hello all!
I am newly graduate nurse here in Qatar and I would like to work in Canada. Can someone help me about getting a visa to work as a graduate nurse there? I have been having troubles looking for information. Any help is much appreciated!

Thanks.

I think it's extremely unlikely you'll be able to obtain a work visa as a nurse with no experience. Get a few years of experience under your belt and then consider looking for a job in Canada. That's my recommendation.

I second Scylla's idea.

Please look at this website http://www.cna-aiic.ca/en/becoming-an-rn/work-in-canada/

Nursing is regulated provincial (i.e. each state) in Canada. Also look at this website for links to regulatory bodies http://www.cna-aiic.ca/en/becoming-an-rn/work-in-canada/provincial-and-territorial-regulatory-bodies/

Depending on which province you want to go, check the website for the requirement and the process.

Thank you guys! You are both right, I do need an experience to be able to work there. I have a few questions though, since I am an RN over here but have not written a board exam because this country doesnt have licensing body, but I am considered RN with a license. The ministry of health and the hospital I am working at have issued me my nursing license, now my question is, would this affect my future application? I mean because there is no licensing body here for nursing, would the licensing body in other countries like Canada (CARNA) look at my license invalid? Have you ever heard something like that? Second question is, would it be ideal if i apply as LPN in Alberta as to RN? The reason why I thought I'd apply as an RN is that because of the differences in culture over here and there, and the expected roles and responsibilities of nurses here and there dwindles my confident as an RN here.

Please, please.. help me out here.

Thank you so much!
