Guys,

Lets all, who are in government service and got ITA, connect here.

I got ITA on 10th February and working in government job.

It seems that indian central government employee cant apply for Emigration to any other country

Source: http://www.referencer.in/CS_Regulations/CCS%28Conduct%29Rules1964/GOI_Decisions_25.aspx

(2) Emigration of Central Government Servants to other Countries

References are received from Ministries/Departments seeking clarifications regarding grant of ‘No Objection Certificate’ to Government employees for seeking emigration to foreign countries. The matter has been considered carefully and it has been decided that no Government servant should apply for or seek emigration to any other country so long as he is in Government service. The question of issuing ‘No Objection Certificate’ to a Government servant, who wishes to migrate to a foreign country, therefore, does not arise.

Why the heck you want to move from government service. Come on tourist visa and try spending 6 months here in Canada. You will see the hard life here, especially if you are government servant in India. Be settled I government service. Honest suggestion. You will end up doing customer service jobs here. Unless you have tremendous belief in your abilities and have a boat load of money to start a profitable business here.

Thanks for your suggestions. I understand what you said.
I worked for INTEL in embedded software/ VLSI domain for 8 years & have shifted to government a couple of years back and I simply dont like the work culture here. Considering I have 2 options, one is to go back to old profession in India and other is to explore similar profession abroad. With this view, I filled EE application & got ITA. In case you have any more suggestions, please feel free to put here. Thanks

Hi..I m a govt. Servant from last 3 years before that I was manager in public sector bank for 3 yrs..n planning to login my profile according to banking experience...pls tell if I show in my profile that I m with govt of India..do they verify in written or visit personally?
On what points do visa can rejected on this point?
How can I cover this job in my profile?
Suppose if I don't show this job in profile do this 3 yr gap would b justified to visa officer?
What is work history n activity history and in which section should I put my present job,if I ve to show?

Not an expert by any means.. But here is my take on this.. I believe primary applicant gets points for spouse work experience.. If you do not show your experience (I believe you are accompanying spouse) then following might happen:

1. How would you justify gap of 3 years? If you show this as gap and in case Visa officer asks you to submit your bank details then your salary details would show in the bank statements and Visa Officer will come to know that you hide this from them. This might outweigh the positives in your profile and will have an adverse impact.
2. Secondly, showing gap in your profile will not be taken in a good way in terms of career progression because remember you are applying for Federal Skilled Worker Program.

But still do not understand the reason why you do not want to show this 3 years experience? Can you please elaborate?

Thanks for reply..
I was just thinking not to show the present job coz this is NOC 'C' category job and in FSW only NOC 'O' A or B category job is taken for and secondly i dnt have qualifications according to NOC list for this job. Doubt that due to NOC 'C' or lack of essential qualifications may lead to rejections!!
now as per your view, yes I have to show this but does the above problem can be ignored by visa officer?
Pls advice..

regards

IMO, showing gap wont make your application weaker so you can conveniently remove the unwanted job from work history but Personal history section should mention it

Guys,
Can someone please shred some light on the fact that No Objection Certificate may be required from the government employer while granting VISA.
If it is correct then how to tackle this situation as any government employer will never provide No Objection Certificate for immigration purpose.

Why don't you resign immediately as you got your ITA and pursue your PR further? There by you won't be in service when you get the PR or move here.

By the by, even after coming to Canada, you would be stuck with the same corporate world from which you wanted to move out. If you had heart for settling overseas, you could have stuck to your corporate job.

Regarding your 1st statement, being in govt job, one can take slightly longer leaves easily as compared to private. Given a chance, 99.99% of people would like to move to canada without resigning from current job. And since I am planning short landing for the moment, resigning wont be a good idea.

Lastly, willingness to work in corporate (better professional life) has no relation of wanting to settle abroad (better personal life, xyz reasons etc).
