Hello everyone,
So, I'm working in a company in Canada and everyone is getting bought by a different company. I recently sent my PR application (current stage: they are currently looking at my background checks).
The job is gonna be the same (same NOC), same salary, etc.
But legally I would be working for a different company.
Now, I assume I will have to leave Canada, get another work permit under the new company's name (because I don't have an open work permit) and then go back into Canada, right?
Do you guys know if there is any other option where I don't have to leave the country? (I got a provincial nomination, which is what gave me the extra points I needed to get my iTA. I was reading a bit about the open work permit bridge, but I think one of the requirements is that the work permit needs to expire in the next 4 months, and mine isn't, so I guess I can't do that)
Also, I assume I'll have to update CIC telling them that I'm now working for a different company and attach the new job offer via a CSE?
Just really not sure what the next steps are. Unfortunately these news happened so suddenly.
