Got the PPR, but the RPRF money order has not been cashed yet (Detroit)

Hey, guys.

Last month I got the medial request with a handwritten note to submit the RPRF. So I immediately mailed them (Detroit visa office) a money order. According to the tracking, it arrived a couple of days afterwards.

The problem is, I just received an email with the passport request (yay!). It tells me to submit the RPRF if I haven't sent it yet. So I check with my bank, and the money order has not been cashed yet. I've been trying to call them, but I can't get past the recording. Do they wait until I send the passport to actually cash the money order? Should I be worried?

(Currently, I'm planning to send them the passports with a copy of the tracking and the receipt of the money order, but I am afraid that they may just send it back for lack of payment... I've thought about sending them another one and cancel the old one, but that may just make matters worse).

Any advice?

I will suggest that you send your passports and also a letter indicating that you have already sent a money as requested.I personally do not believe that your passports will returned due to no payment received.Your letter,the tracking number and the receipt of the money order will wake them up from their slumber .

I'll make another attempt to contact them, and failing that, I'll send all the receipts + a letter.
(Another option that I just thought of, I could send another money order and not cancel the old one... and in a few months, see which one they cashed and cancel the other one).

I did my medicals three weeks ago. The doctor told me they would take about 2 weeks (maybe less) for the bloodwork to come back, and then they would send everything. I didn't ask for a tracking number, so I don't know when exactly they got to Ottawa. I couldn't check it online because e-cas was broken for me, until today. I was going to call (the doctor) this week... but I got the passport request. (Btw, the e-cas shows "medicals received", but makes no mention of the passport request or desicion made).

In case someone else finds this thread in the future. I called them, didn't select the option 4 (immigration) but 0 (other stuff) and a nice, helpful and very patient lady answered. She couldn't tell me the exact status of the money order, but she confirmed that the package had been received and everything was within their processing times, to not worry and send them the passports. They are on their way to Detroit now (together with the copy of the receipts and the tracking information... just in case).
