So today got my ATIP in the mail. I see some new activity last week but need some help inferring it.
I see the officers leave notes behind. I see they issued the RQ back in may 2013 which is true and next note says when the RQ was received which is also correct. The last note which was left last week (Dec 4th) says

Created Date: 2013/12/04
Responsible office: St. clair cic
Description: "OB 407-D triage- interview. JEL"

so the obvious thing here to think is are they going to call me for an interview or what is your interpretation?

Looks like you're going to be invited to a CJ interview. Of course, this may mean something else, however, I've no idea what else it could be.

OB 407 is an operational bulletin related to issuance and handling of RQ and has list of RQ triggers. OB 407-D is the latest (4th?) variation of bulletin, nobody knows what's exactly in it.

CJ = Citizenship Judge. You will likely be interviewed in detail at any test first so the Citizenship Office can prepare your file for a judge hearing. Seems you may be in for a long haul. What did you submit as proof of 'physical presence' in Canada for your RQ?

I sent them my record of employments, my rental address information, my T4 statements and some bank statements. ya you could be right seems like they are pissed of at something and need clarification.

I see
FOSS Clearance : Passed
RCMP Clearance : Passed
CSIS: <left blank>

What would be the judge hearing for? I haven't even written the test.

As for residence

Basic Residence: 1202
Physical Presence: 1125

Has anyone else been called for a interview after sending RQ before the test?

Actually, this link is about the op 407
http://residencequestionnaire.files.wordpress.com/2013/03/atip-op407.pdf
Page 6, "Hearings cases where applicant has not been previously interviewed by CIC staff"

"As of May 7,2012 all applicants must be interviewed by CIC staff before they attend a hearing with a citizenship judge. In some cases, applicants can be scheduled into existing test/interview events, and appear for a hearing at a later time. In other instances, the interview with an official may occur immediately before the hearing"

So my first guess is all applicants will be interviewed going forward according to the new File requirements checklist. So perhaps, if i am lucky i might be offered a test date before the citizenship judge hearing.

Thoughts?

QAI,

How many days it took to get the ATIP.
Did you use online or paper form, do we need to pay fees in online.
Did you choose paper mail or email option to get report.
Please share the timelines.

Can we read about the OB 407-D? wonder if it has been published yet.

I was under impression you had passed a test/interview for some reason, this changes things.

You're right, everyone (or close to) will go to test/interview 1st, regardless of CJ interview required or not.

Now the question is about "interview" remark in description, why it's there.

It could be reference to discuss/clarify specific questions during test/interview, not a CJ interview. It's a pure speculation though.

All ideas what it could be are welcome, maybe someone will have assumptions backed with reasoning, unlike I.

OB 407-D won't be published publicly, you can only request it through ATI from CIC and at will come heavily edited (all important information will be blacked out), if anything will come at all.

so it sounds like its a good thing and going forward everyone(close to) will have to interview with cic staff so this is mostly like not a CJ interview(hearing). If all the stars are aligned then I should be interviewed with cic staff (as per the new check list) and then asked for a test date after which the CJ hearing should take place. Also when does the oath take place? is it after the hearing with CJ?

Yup it would be weird to get an interview after the test given I have already submitted an RQ!

Test and interview are on the same date, interview is conducted by a CIC agent. Then you'll get either a ceremony or a CJ interview, if needed. CJ's are supposed to operate independently of CIC, so it won't be interview conducted by CIC (through one of its agents) itself in a strict sense.
