Got rejection from us embassy want PR from canada

Dear sir /madam,

I am an Indian and I applied to C1D nontransit visa in August 2015 however, I was awarded the visa but US embassy but later in January 2016 I was asked to come to embassy for cancelation of my visa which was awarded to me by USA embassy due to the reason my employment details in DS 160 form was wrong. Moreover, it was my agent who cheated on me and I am victim in this case, though I told everything to the consulate of US embassy and he gave me a waiver under section 214 (B). Furthermore, my wish was canceled so I am afraid that will this case create any issue if I file my profile through express entry for Canada to get PR. My CRS score is 444 and I want to know will there be any problems with my case. Canadian embassy will award me the visa.??

Hello Vinod,

There is no reason for CIC to deny you the visa based on a US rejection. From what I know, visa refusals from one country while applying to the other are very common. Also no matter what - at the end of the day, CIC holds the power to issue or deny but a US visa refusal is not that big of a reason that they will do it for. I would suggest you to move forward and provide all the details about your refusal with proper explanation and you should be fine. Just make sure you don't lie.

Past Visa refusals are not a cause for rejection unless there is a security risk. It could possibly prolong your processing time but final decision on PR application is at Visa Officer's discretion.
