I'm holding a post-graduation work permit that is expiring in Jan 2015, so I applied open work permit on Sep 25, 2014 because my common-law partner is still studying full time post-secondary in Canada. But I got rejected, and the reason being is that my job (data entry clerk) is no benefit to Canadian citizens. I applied based on my marital status but got rejected based on my job? And then I called in CIC office this morning, and the agent told me that the rejection letter didn't state the reason clear enough, and he said the reason should be that I applied four months before whereas people usually should apply within three month of expiry date. Has anyone heard of anything like this before? I'm so confused.......
