I applied under SPP and got refused stating reasons:
1) purpose of visit (common)
2) have not satisfied with academics that you possess sufficient abilities to succeed in this chosen program.

what should I do now? I've got 51% in 12th grade and 60% in 10th......course was diploma in accounting...and my marks in accounting are 46 which is highest of all the main subjects....I'm planning to apply under general category for the same course....shall I explain through SOP?
Ielts score is 6.5 with 6 in each module.....please reply friends....

Yes u can write an SOP explaining your situation...

Actually bro VO assess your case with different aspects and your academics is one of the main aspect in your case so i doubt your academics will cause you a trouble and rest is that if you think that you can convince VO with strong SOP then go ahead make a try and pray alot .Best of luck for your future.

1. Your percentage of 51% in the last course (12th) is adversely affecting your case. The VO doesn't agree that with this much percentage you will become a good student in Canada where the studies are expected to be difficult and that is why he objects your aim of studying in Canda he thinks that you are using educaiton / student visa to enter Canada and hence doubt the purpose of your visit..

2. Write an SOP not longer than 1.5 pages (1000 words).

3. You have to work hard on your case and draft a precise and clear SOP stating and explaining your interest in this particular college, the diploma and why you want this diploma, what you expect from this course, your motivation, why you didn't perform good previously. Try to highlight the best things, projects you did in your previous academic life but be non-technical. If you have an "A" grade in any subject try to link that subject with the degree you are intending to do in Canada.

Try to give him the impression that you have learnt from your mistakes and now you can change the world with this diploma.

4. Also attach RECOMMENDATION LETTER FROM YOUR PREVIOUS PROFESSORS stating that you were a good student and you performed above average, your practical knowledge and true position is not reflected from your percentage.
