So I got the first e-mail from IRCC approving my PR application (Sunday, Nov. 28) and they asked for my name, UCI, etc. They also ask if I am currently in Canada (which I am) but I will be traveling outside of Canada this weekend. I did reply mentioning that in the e-mail and also stated my return date (in January), but today they still sent me the Portal Confirmation e-mail with my credentials and told me that I have 7 days to reply. So my question is - how am I coming back to Canada now? I am aware that once I upload the photo and submit the information, they will cancel my work permit which will basically block me from coming back. I was thinking about getting a PRTD; however, the Canadian consulate in my country is associated with the one in Zimbabwe and Botswana (so I believe the request would have to be sent to one of those countries and be processed there), so I am not really sure how long all this would take.
Additionally, I hold double citizenship and with my 2nd passport, I can enter Canada with an eTA only. - Can I use my second passport to re-enter Canada as a visitor?
Can someone please advise me on what I should do? Please (desperate here).
