we got PPR today :)

WP extension was submitted October 15, there is still no acknowledgement from CPC Vegreville that they have received it.
can it still be withdrawn and fee refunded after issuance of PR visa?

can this be done via the CIC call center since Vegreville does not have an email or telephone number open to the public?
or thru snail mail only?

Hi,
You won`t get any acknowledgement from Vegreville that they got your application, only the final result after 90 days or so. If you wish to withdraw the application, you have to contact the Call centre and they can do it for you. Also as long as they did not process it and there is no decision, you have to be able to get a refund.

When Vegreville open your work visa application, if you have landed, your file will show that status.

They will then send you the refund. This happened to me. I got my PR in May 2010 and 2 weeks later got a refund for the extensions I had applied for and had not got at the time of landing.

If, however, Vegreville process the application, before you land, you will get no refund. So depending on your time line, you should contact Vegreville if it is applicable.

Personally, I wasn't worried about the refund just glad I got my PR.... ;D ;D ;D
