I just receive POE today. In the letter it says Type: "Permit - WP". Does that refer to study or work permit? I applied for study. Course has Coop.

You received your LOI? POE is the port of entry, where you enter the country.
An officer will print your work/study permit at the POE, make sure you check it there and then
and have it corrected if there's any mistakes.

What's 'pp'? If you got a letter that says something like:

Type: Permit - WP / Permis
Document no.: xxxxxxxxxxxx
Permit validity (YYYY/MM/DD): xxxx/xx/xx

Then that's the document you need to get your permit printed when you enter Canada. At least that's how it works for work permits. Guess it's the same for study permits.

In the box if it says permit-wp then it is work permit. if it is permit-sp then it is study permit.

I got a paper but it does not state the type, document no, and permit validity as stated on the LOI that I received via email..

On the paper that I received with the passport though, it says something like this:

INFORMATION REGARDING YOUR TEMPORARY RESIDENT VISA:
1) This visa does not permit you to work, study or stay permanently in Canada......
2) You must arrive in Canada on or before the date printed under "EXPIRY DATE" on your visa.....
3) You must be permitted to travel to canada based on the number of times stated on....

and etc.

It's completely different from the LOI that I got via email..

Oh no.. why didn't I get one?
Do you think it would be a problem for me if I print the LOI off by myself? Like they won't consider it original from the visa office or whatsoever?

No, it won't be a problem as the hard copy I got is just printed on plain paper nothing special like signs or seals.
