Got my request for passport - my time line

I am going to send my passport on Monday, any idea how long does it take to get it back. After I get my passport back do I need to leave the country to get it stamped or how does that procedure work. I am currently a student, do I still need to snow $10,000 when I go to stamp my visa

It says my medicals expire October/2012 and the visa will be issued up to that what does that mean.

About 15 business days. You can either go to the border to 'land' or book an appointment(through the CIC call centre) to do it at a local CIC office. If you applied under CEC, you do not need to show $10,000. Only applicants under federal skilled worker stream have to show funds.

It says my medicals expire October/2012 and the visa will be issued up to that what does that mean.
Your immigrant visa will be valid until October 2012 and you have to 'land' no later than that date.

I am completely lost about the landing processing, so after I get my documents I will either go to Niagara falls to do a flag poling or go to the CIC office to get it stamped right and then I apply for the PR card?


Do you know the link to book the appointment at the cic office, I couldnt find it online and more over the time to get the booking is about 6 weeks as far as I saw in the forum would it be faster to get it done at Niagara falls (do you have any info on that)

You don't have to apply for the card. They will begin processing it after you land.

congrats dear.. It worth it after waiting for almost 2 yrs. ur very lucky. I am just in the same situation as u. my work varies. There are some weeks of partime and some week of full time. I started working since october 2010 and i am thinking of applying around july this year. I pray to be as lucky as u. I have all my t4s and NOA to prove my hrs. I am not including paystubs because hours in my paystubs are not consistent. I have worked more than 1950hrs counted from pay stubs but i want to wait till july to make sure i got more than required hrs.
Did u include ur pay stubs when u applied?? pls let me know

Hey, yes i did apply with my pay subs just to be sure you employer can also state in the letter how many hours you have worked till the letter was printed

Did ur employer stated the total number of hours u have worked or they only mentioned hours u worked per week??? pls let me know. I don't want to make any mistake.. How did ur employer specified ur hours per week since ur hours varies from some week of part time and some week of full time ??? pls share ur reference letter if possible. I will appreciate. Thanx in advance

This is the exact same words from the letter (my lawyer drafted them)

This Letter serves to confirm that .. had been employed with .. in a part-time capacity in the Retail food service department from may 2009 to present. He works an average of 30 hours overing 4-5 days a week and currently draws $11.20/hr as set by the company.

Then comes all the job duties

and final closing statement

Awesome, Thanx a lot dear.. It is really a lovely letter. I will let my employer write the same for me. So they never mention all total number of hours worked altogether?? Did they wrote ur benefits or any vacation pay?? I am just curious.. congrats once more!!!!!!

Hey, no they didnt write any thing else since I am part time I dont get benefits and didnt bother with the vacation pay.

I didnt mention the total number of hours since I was attaching the pay subs which shows the total hours I have worked in every pay sub so in my final pay sub it said I worked 2000 odd hours.
