Did you wife do medicals for a previous work permit, maybe??
If not, you did the medicals for the both of you, so you should be fine regarding the medicals.
Some applicants get the RPRF on the day CIC receives the medical test results, others wait for 1-2 weeks. It's been
only 8 days since CIC recevied your test results, so wait for a couple of days.

I am in the same boat... Me and my husband both did our medicals on 18th March, Request came on 16th, but neither ecas status changed nor we received RPRF req.. I am getting impatient and worried now :(

That is within the range of normal. I received my RPRF request 2 months after my medical request, and that's when my status changed to In Process. The eligibility review can go through a couple of different VOs. Mine went from Recommend Passed to Passed two months after MR.

Same Here. Received MR on Feb 22 and no RPRF request and no ECAS status change yet..

No, she never did any immigration medicals. When we went to do our medicals, the clinic could find both our IME numbers in e-medical, so her medical technically may not even be "upfront". I have a strange feeling my lawyer's office might of missed my wife's MR email, or somehow CIC thought they sent her MR but they actually didn't. Somebody messed up here.

I guess I could pay the RPRF upfront as it'll get refunded should we get rejected. I'll wait another week to see what happens...

Hi Spooky,

Thanks. You reply gave some hope. I received my medicals on Feb 22 and did medicals on Feb 26th. However, my medical is under review as per CIC email when i inquired. BUT my ecas has no update yet and its still application received. I haven't received RPRF yet. So not sure whether my file is also under additional review along with medicals. Meanwhile i applied for GCMS on 10th March and desperately waiting for notes to see exact status.

Dear All

I applied under fsw 2014 and received my medicals on 24 dec 2014, while got my 3 rd line (medicals received) updated on ecas on 5 Jan. not yet got the rprf fee request.

i understand all of you went through the same issue.

is it normal ? when can i expect the rprf fee request.

regards
jaspal

Dear members,

I am May 2014 FSW applicant , got my medical done in mid Nov 2014. Application started Processing in Jan 2015 after submission of Schedule A update request, but no signs of RPRF request till now (4 months passed since medical done). Sent email to LVO for my application status query a month ago, but reply till now.

Please Advise!
Should i go for GCMS notes?
Should i send email to VO for not receiving RPRF since on this forum i saw one case, that person didn't received RPRF request, when they query their VO for RPRF request, VO replied they awaiting them to pay RPRF so they may sent them Passport request.

Got medicals and rprf request for me and not for my wife

Hi Toby,

Please help me in this situation that i am facing !

Basically:

1. I had applied for my PR when I was single – Status of PR – was still application received.
2. Then got married and informed CIC – they acknowledged and confirmed by replying that they have changed my status from single to married and gave me a list of docs to submit to them.
3. Then I sent all the relevant information to them within one month – December 9th I sent the docs along with the payment processing fee.($550)
4. we didn’t get any confirmation that they have received my wife’s docs or not.

Today I got medical request only for me and to pay landing fee. So my question is !

1. I had paid all my fees – both landing and processing fee for my application – and for wife’s only processing fee – so the landing fee request is for her ?
2. I got medical request with a PDF attached only on my name and not for my wife – my assumption is because she had taken a medical exam before in India on sept 2014, so they have not asked for her ?

@ simmysam

I was in similar situation. I applied for PR when I was single then got married and informed CIC about the same. I sent my wife's document little late (only after I received final dead line from CIC). I also didn't receive any confirmation from CIC when I paid her processing fee and CIC received her documents. Only, I received MR because my wife's medical was done when she arrived in Canada as visitor and CIC already had her records on file. They confirmed it a month later, unnecessarily making me wait for a month to do my medical check. I could have done it as soon as I got my MR if I would have known that CIC already have my wife's medical record.

Thanks Vishal for the reply ! :)

This certainly gives me some relief.

Can you tell me what cic informed you regarding your wife medicals - u said in your reply saying they confirmed after a month later ?

so the medical request is for me ? and the landing fee i need to pay for her right ? as i have paid all my fees regarding my application !

When I inquired about the processing fee paid for my wife and her MR (As I said before, I received MR only for me and not for my wife), This is what CIC exactly replied after one month:

Dear Sir,

This is confirmation that the payment for your spouse’s processing fee ($550) has been received and allocated to your file.

Please note that our office already has valid medical results for your spouse on file. No further examinations for her are required at this time.

Mine is quite opposite...I am a July 3rd applicant. I just received an email from CIC stating that I've clearted Eligibility and they have asked me to pay the RPRF. It also says meanwhile Criminality, Security and Medical are in progress.

Question: I still have not received my medical request for self and spouse....and our last medical was 2 years ago for work permit, so clearly it must have expired. Is it common to request RPRF prior to medical? Anyone who has been in a similar situation ....can you please comment. Is this common? Does this mean medical request should come shortly? Thanks for your help.

Experts please comment..
