Got ITA in FSW, was expecting in CEC. Does it make any difference?

Hey guys,

> Got ITA in FSW, was expecting in CEC. Does it make any difference?
> I am asked to get list of all bank accounts(Debit/credit) with all details from a financial institution. Does it means, I need to get it from one Financial institute like credit union or Do I have to get from each bank? (This would be a great headache if I had to get from each bank)

Help me out, I appreciate it.

The main difference is for FSW you have to prove that you have just under 12k in funds. For CEC you don't have to show proof of funds.

I also received an invitation under FSW when I was expecting it to be CEC. On the express entry profile, it said "Met" against the Canadian Experience Class.

I have been working in Canada since Feb-2014 and got an ITA on 26-June-2015.

Not sure why I was invited in the FSW category (the invitation letter states this). Is there any way this can be fixed?

Unfortunately not - they apparently will always invite you under FSW when you qualify for both. It's really frustrating.

Thanks Sd2000 !

So who really qualifies for CEC then? Because everyone who qualifies for CEC would also qualify for FSW in a way.

No - not everyone qualifies for FSW. If you do qualify for CEC AND FSW - they always bring you under the FSW scheme (I don't know why).

So as far as the proof of funds is concerned, even though we are working in canada and qualify for CEC, we would still need to maintain the required balance (referring to the CIC page for proof of funds) in our accounts - Assuming CIC could ask for a proof again ÉÉ

Thanks for the response. Any info on my second question. " I am asked to get list of all bank accounts(Debit/credit) with all details from a financial institution. Does it means, I need to get it from one Financial institute like credit union or Do I have to get from each bank? (This would be a great headache if I had to get from each bank)"

I got an invitation for FSW first and I had only declared 5000 as my funds. Then I received a letter from the CIC saying that they had made an error, I had almost finished my application and was going to submit. The permanent residency linked disappeared. After a week I got an invitation from CIC for CEC.
