Got IELTS Score - Plz Help !!

Hi Seniors,

I have got IELTS Scores today - pls refer to below:

Listening - 7.5
Reading - 7
Speaking - 6.5
Writing - 7
Overall Band - 7

Pls suggest how many points per canadian benchmark I would get.

Hi,

6.5 and above will get 4 points each, so for your case you should get the max ( 16 points)

You can also google for various websites who offer service to convert your score to canadian points.

Many Thanks - I received IELTS score by post now. Am I supposed to open the envelop OR let it be sealed in order to submit as it is with CIC? I understand we need to submit originals of the IELTS scores hence I should open and take relevant photocopies before I submit. Pls suggest. Thanks.

You can interpret the IELTS score accurately to points as mentioned in this canadian official site as the rules and requirement will be changing day by day who know.

it is not bad idea to take a photo copies of your test result ( if possible get attested) before submitting your application to CIC.

I opened my ielts score to check my result and also make a copy for myself. So is it okay to mail the opened score to CIC or does it have to be sealed?

It's OK if you have opened and made copies, but see that u send the original result to CIC with all other documents.......
