Hi guys,

I applied for a skilled worker visa on the 1st of april. I've received a reply via email stating that my application is being recommended for a final determination of eligibility & that i should submit a complete application to the London office.

I'm a little confused about which documents to send. Should i send the same set of documents that i sent initially to CIC canada? Or do i need to send in the additional documents such as, copies of my degree, employment certificates etc.

Secondly the email also mentions about a 120 days deadline to submit documents. Here's a quote from the email:

"The Federal Skilled Worker application kit states (page 18), “Consult the Visa Office specific requirements now to determine what documents you will need to provide once your application is recommended for processing at a Visa Office. If you are not prepared to submit full documentation to the Visa Office within 120 days do not apply now. Visa Offices are strictly enforcing the 120 day rule and will not provide extensions.”

Note: Once the 120 days has elapsed, a final eligibility of determination will be made based on the information on file. A negative determination of eligibility for processing is final and will result in the closure of your file. Documents must be submitted in a SINGLE package."

So i'm a little confused as to how to proceed now. Do i submit the complete documents as listed in the London Visa Office Instructions? If so what is the 120 day deadline for? Is it a deadline for submitting any additional documents that might be required to process my visa?

I would appreciate any help with this from people who've already been through this process. Thanks a lot!

I'm a little confused about which documents to send Don't be confused. Read instructions CHC London website for direction. . Should i send the same set of documents that i sent initially to CIC canada? Full documents with the application forms sent earlier however should there be changes you made to the information sent earlier you need to inform CHC by attaching a cover letter. Or do i need to send in the additional documents such as, copies of my degree, employment certificates etc. YES.

Secondly the email also mentions about a 120 days deadline to submit documents. Here's a quote from the email:

So i'm a little confused as to how to proceed now. Do i submit the complete documents as listed in the London Visa Office Instructions? YES If so what is the 120 day deadline for? Your supporting documents must arrive CHC on or before 120days from the date on the letter sent to you. Should you fail to submit your documents within the specified period, a decision will/might be made on your application which most definitely would be a rejection. Is it a deadline for submitting any additional documents that might be required to process my visa? CORRECT.

I would appreciate any help with this from people who've already been through this process. Thanks a lot!

Hi,

Based on your post, you should be submitting to the London Visa Office.

You would need to gather all the relevant documents required by the London Visa Office:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/skilled-mission.asp

Requirements for the London Visa Office are listed in this PDF: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/E37023.pdf

You have to submit all the documents within 120 days from the date at the top of the letter (above your reference number).

Hope this helps!

Yes. The actual application forms should be photocopies of the ones you sent to CIO-Sydney, but the documentation has to follow the CIC-London checklist.

If so what is the 120 day deadline for? Is it a deadline for submitting any additional documents that might be required to process my visa?

It is a deadline for submitting your COMPLETE application, with all required documents, to CIC-London.

Thanks for the replies guys, i appreciate the help!

I think i should be able to get the rest of the documents in these 120 days. However the FBI police certificate might take time. I was reading on the forum that if i don't get it back in time i can send in the rest of my application with a letter explaining that i've applied for a police certificate & am still waiting for a reply.

I also need help in getting the FBI police certificate. I've downloaded the fingerprint form & cover letter. Do i have to get the fingerprint form filled from a local police station? Will the police stamp the fingerprint form? The form just has a place where it asks for a signature of the the official taking the fingerprints. Can anyone who's been through this process in Pakistan please help me? Thanks!

The FBI estimates it takes them 13 weeks to process the police certificate (plus mailing time) -- see http://www.fbi.gov/hq/cjisd/faqs.html. If you don't get it in time and the rest of your application is complete, write a letter explaining the situation and providing proof that you mailed the fingerprints to the FBI.

In theory, you can take the fingerprints yourself. However, it is better to get an expert to take them to minimize chances that the FBI rejects them as illegible (if they do, you have to resend and it's another 13 weeks). Take a look at http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/fbi-clearance-in-us-t30136.420.html for other helpful information in this forum.
