Got AOR, Need advice about Police clearence from Pakistan

Hi forum,
i am really thankful for who helping each other. i recently received file no. from Nova Scotia, they received application on 6th Feb 09 and acknowledge letter issued on date 17th Feb 09 and i received last week of Feb.

I am living in Finland and my question is how my brother who is in Pakistan, can get my Police Character?
also tell me how many months it valid for ?

I am still in Pre-Processing in submitting application but will try to find out it. You brother can directly visit nearby police station where you use to live. I think they will guide him well as they will be aware of issuing it to Many.

Hi ALL,
I just received my Police character certificate from Rawalpindi security branch. Go to Chetehri chowk and collect form --> fill up signed by councellor,DSP,ASP attach 3 PPsize photos,copy of letter from embassy , attested passport ,NIC copy. Finally submit to same ketechri branch security branch. after 3 days you will get this.
Lots of khawari there in police station cz visiting ps first time in my life LOLS.,

I would like you give you some informations regarding this,

I was trying since 2 weeks for getting this police certificate, I'm living abroad and exectly as you, i need for my visa office too. As i had experience, no one can get certificate on your behalf, some one can get certificate but most common certificates that police issue are for travelling out from pakistan, like one person is going to travel and he needed or some one wanna submit inside of pakistan to any embassy or etc. I called direct DPO ( District Police Officer ) first they were not ready to accept, they told me i must come through pakistani embassy, they issue police certificate for pakistani living abraod only via Pakistani embassies, when i told them where im living there isnt any Pakistani embassy, so what i supose to do.... then they replied mi, fax them my passport copy and national id copy notarized from my country's notary, included one application for what i wanna take this and then 2 pictures by mail. This is all the darama, now just today evening i sent documents by fax to their given numbers, it cost me $35 and when finished, it returned with errors, the fax guy told me he is not sure if all document delivered successfuly. Now this all i gonna write in one letter and submit to embassy, dont know what will happen but getting Police Certificate from Pakistan is really Frustrating. I called Pakistani embassy Los Angeles, as they issue all kind of certificates to pakistanies, they told me it will take around one and half month to get Police certificate and still they are not sure too.


This is all my fresh story. Please write down if any body have got police certificate from pakistan using any method. This will help us all.

Update......

I fax all documents again, it was third time and i arranged one fax service following pakistani official time, so please beaware, if you sent fax after office time, they will never accept it.

So after fax all documents, i called DPO office again, they confimred, DPO has recieved all documents and he signed the forms, now let see what would be next, it was real matter of signing DPO , other should not but i'm not sure, i'll keep upto date this thread.


So to all Pakistani citizens living abraod who facing problems for obtaining Police Character Certificate,


One possible solution as i'm working on,

1- Notarize copy of your Pakistani passport,pakistani ID card,
2- Write one application by name of DPO/ or any authority that represent to your regional office, include one power of attoreny for person who gonna submit all documents and recieve certifcate on your behalf( in need application model which i faxed, please send me PM and i will forward to you)
3- 2 PP sizepicture needed, you can email them some one in pakistan and they can print out.

Fax all documents directly to office of Police authorities and hopefully they will issue certificate.

Going throuh embassies or any else method os worst of time and even passing several months, unsure results too.

Well, I suggest that you can Google for "Police Character Certificate" Islamabad or Lahore, Karachi, etc... You will get to concerned police website and they do provide some basic information.

Else, ask your bro to check out locally in the DPO office...

Well, mahharrouf, I had done a PCC from Pakistan just couple of months back myself...

There are several ways to get it done...

1. Follow Official way and it would take several days
2. Have someone in Good Position and use links
3. Use (Q Paper) and get fast tracked...

I hope you understand... It all depends in where you are in Pakistan... I know delaing with Police is not that easy...

Cheer up ... this is the system that we are all escaping from to Canada...

I think Police cert is not a big deal in pakistan. Just visit SSP office of your district/area, with passport copy, ID card ,two photographs and Blue Quaid-e-Azam(most important). It is a very common certificate and everybody know about it. Fill the form , attached all req documents and you will get it after two days. I requested it through my friend.

Now in Pakistan police departments are very strict in issuing PCCs but If you have any relative in Pakistan then he can get Police Clearance Certificate on your behalf by providing them following documents:

1. Copy of applicant CNIC
2. Copy of applicant Valid Passport (must be valid for six months)
3. Copy of father's CNIC
4. Copy of mother's CNIC
5. 4 nos. passport size photographs
6. And some required information to fill their application form i.e. period of stay, addresses, purpose etc

Some times concerned police department do asks for any reference in the city where you need PCC. Reference can be anyone of your neighbors, friends, relatives or your employer.

PCC can be obtained from SP Office not from local police station (thana).

For those who don't have any source / contact in Pakistan there are many lawyers / service agencies assisting in Pakistan in these kind of documents. They will charge their service fee remember.
