Planning to land on June 28th if God permits.
This morning the Tokyo visa office sent me an email to confirm that they received the police clearance certificate which they had requested and that they also received the result of our medical tests.

Nothing else was mentioned in the mail. I am hoping that in a few weeks I would get a request to send our passports. Since the results of the medicals were received can one expect PPR soon?

Nothing was mentioned in the mail regarding security checks . Although I am sure it's either completed or still going on.

Hi, I have no clue of the time frame for Tokyo. From UAE, it takes about 3-4 months and from delhi, I have heard stories fo 15 days. having said that, in this forum I have heard people saying time frames from 15 days to 11 months and 2 weeks.

I guess so too. Well, this waiting is really a patience thing. All we need is patience. At times, it is difficult but it is what it is.

Email says you did some enquiry to visa about your status.

You are still safe side. Please avoid unnecessary inquiry to visa office. Better check you status online daily..

Good Luck

Thanks. I just wanted to confirm if they had received the medicals and the police clearance. Anyways, will just wait and see their next step. The thing is am pregnant and that's y am getting a bit impatient cuz I am nit sure when I will get the visa. If i don't get my ppr then have to leave japan so I can give birth in my contry. Well, am not sure how the visa office will handle the situation.

Hi Okshan,

Good to hear that the Tokyo Consulate got the papers you submitted.

About what you said....

I have these questions & comments:
- Did you (or your lawyer) tell the visa office that you're pregnant and would like to give birth in Canada?
- In case they don't request your passports, you plan to leave Japan and give birth in your country... So I'm thinking that getting the baby's documents, adding him/her in the application, etc., not to mention all the hassle of moving countries, would cause more delays. Isn't it better to give birth in Japan?

I hope everything works out well for you. Take care!
