Hello, I'm caught up in a slight predicament now. I graduated in April after a 1 year post graduate diploma. I recently got a full time job offer from an IT firm and they are willing to hire me, provided, I at least apply for a work permit before joining their organization.

So, here is the problem, I only have my official transcripts from college and no Graduation or Course Completion letters on me. I have the others on the checklist like my Passport, Photos and a Valid Study Permit but the course completion letter would take at least another whole week.

So, Based on the fact that I am no longer a student because I recently graduated and neither am I a legal worker because I don't have the permit on me. Can I start working before even applying for a permit till my course completion letter arrives, or, do I just apply with my official transcripts and hope for the best?

I start on Monday so any sort of advice would be much appreciated, thanks!

Hi

You are only allowed to work part-time. If you work full-time, it will be illegal.
