Hello.

We are about to get our passports stamped and will need to make a first entry before April.

We plan on going there for 2 weeks in January before we pack up our house and make a final move around June (this is because of my husbands work place commitments)

What would we say to the IO about goods to follow? At that stage we won't have even had a packing company give us a quote, let alone decide on what is coming with us or not.

Thanks

Make a list of everything you want to bring and anything you might consider bringing.
In the case of goods with serial numbers list them individually listing the numbers. With other things you can bulk them together eg Clothes, books, kitchen utensils, cds, etc etc with an approximate cost. It is better to list too much than to list too little. Customs won't mind if you don't bring everything that is on the list, but they will mind if you try to bring something that isn't.
