Thanks for the response LeisaP.
The items my husband has remaining in the USA are minimal, however; he will need to import his car by driving back to the USA after the landing interview, and return to Canada after 3 days (in which time he'll drive down to get his prior belongings). The import process appears to demand a 3 day 'presence' of a vehicle in the USA. So the most important thing then on the B4 form would be the vehicle.
My greatest confusion was just that most threads referring to the goods-to-follow form, are those from outland applications and landing at the border, whereas the inland process doesn't appear to have much information referring to the same topic.
Yeah he would need to use it for the car than, so that they know ahead of time he is bringing his car over,
usually they let u fill out the b4 form, so when u cross into canada u are allowed to bring all your items tax free because u are coming as a resident.
probably because the inland applicants have most of there things in canada already or come from other countries other than usa where they bother to important many things cuz its just too much hassle.
even outland applicants i would imagine its expensive and a hassle to try and bring over ur furniture and cars and stuff.
but yeah anyways so just fill it out for his car and the couple extra personal things
