Hi

My spouse landed in Dec 09 at Vancouver and when she submitted the list of Goods to follow to the officer, he didn't accept that and told to submit that at the time of arrival of the goods at the port of clearance. In most of the forums I hv read that this list is to be submitted at the time of arrival. Dont know whether able to get the goods cleared from customs as they hvnt stamped the list.

Secondly how long is it take to get the PR cards as the officer told her the approx. time of 30 days and CIC's website is also showing the same 30 days time but we hvnt recd yet as its more than 30 days has been passed.

Hi

For many (or all) of those who did the landing (including myself), the Goods to Follow list was checked and stamped/signed by the Customs Officer when we landed first. With that list, you will be able to get the things inside Canada without paying any duty whenever you return.
If you have a statement or something like that from the Officer, that should help. Otherwise you may be required to pay duty when you get in the goods.

PR Time: About 30 days (+ 10 days, mostly). However it should not make any difference having waited months for the PR...

All the Best

@jati: that is the same as my landing. The officer only wrote in my list at the landing time that there are goods to follow later and only make a copy of my good to follow list, no sign, no photo, and now they ask me to visit their office to retake my photo for PR card.
