Hey All,

A fellow's COPR is expiring soon and he does not have all his goods in order to bring on his trip in for "landing". If he fills out B-51 (is that what it's called?) how long does he have to import the goods listed tax free? Can they come 6-8 months later? Or is there a time limit on when goods have to arrive by?

You should be good, as long as you dont spend significant time in canada during these 8 months else they may refuse... During initial landing, i got B4/B5 duly signed by officers.I landed, and then went back to Mexico, and then came back to Canada 8-9 months later.

Although i havent seen any time frame, they expect you to bring the goods back in "reasonable" time limit. Yes, on re-entry they asked me how much time i have been away from Canada...

from what cbsa told me, there is no time limit on when you have to bring items on your goods to follow list. i specifically asked this question because i heard there was a 10 year limit. it can be 8 months after your land, it can be 8 years, or it can be 80 years.
