Good reason for visitor visa extension

Hello everyone,

My wife and son are in Canada as a visitor. I'm PR. I have already submitted spousal sponsorship application and received AOR. presently, I'm applying for their extension of visitor visa. Is it OK if i mention that we're waiting for PR, that's why we want to stay longer? or will it result in rejection of extension?

Yes, it's fine to mention that. I would lead with that. Generally that should guarantee approval. Include evidence you've submitted the application (e.g. fee payment).
