Hello, happy to greet you,

Please come here to share timeline and thoughts on landing to Saskatchewan.

I plans to do a short landing to Saskatchewan (Regina, Saskatoon) this summer, I have no ties in Saskatchewan. I am awaiting my PPR and am expecting to land asap after stamping of my visa. I has a financial, business development backgrounds and I am from Banking Sector. My wife as well has financial background, she is from audit sector. Our child is 2.6 years old.

Shall be great if you recommend with consideration of job opportunities and family which city is better to be settled and please advise area of a city to settle taking in to consideration child as well.

Thanks!

Saskatoon or Regina?

Both cities are good.
Regina is public sector focused, Saskatoon private sector focused.

Everything else splits pretty evenly for my noc. I suggest you sit on job search websites, and get a feel for your noc - which one has more opportunities.

Also take other parameters into account, such as where do you think its nicer to live... I personally think a city situated on river banks is nicer.
But I wont really know till I get there.

I have been to both cities. While both cities are lovely, you must decide what you want out of them.

My opinion (and its my personal opinion)
Saskatoon feels more like an old unplanned city, whereas Regina feels more planned and modern.
Regina has more public sector jobs, being the capital city. Saskatoon has more private sector jobs as it is the commercial capital.
Saskatoon has the South Saskatchewan river (as Carmageddon pointed out). Regina has the Wascana Lake.

Everything else seems about equal, so go where you will get jobs. Do a search for jobs in both places and see which one returns more hits.

If possible visit both cities, and make up your mind once you have experienced both of them.

Dear friends, thank you for your replies.
