Hello all, I am a canadien citizen and I have just submitted a spouse sponsorship application from outside of Canada. We both reside in France with long stay visas. My work and holiday visa expires in sept 2020, her visitor visa in dec 2020. My spouse is a Georgian (eastern Europe) national and we would like to go to Canada while our application is in process. I have heard of the dual intent process. what are the chances her getting a temporary residence visa and wait in Canada while application is treated ? many thanks in advance

Depends upon their ties to their home country, since they are applying for a “ temporary “ visa, when in fact their plans aren’t to stay temporary, but permanent
The negative is that they aren’t currently in there home country

She quit her job upon leaving home country six months ago and now residing on "visitor" status in France with me while I am working here. So no work ties in her home country and no assets on her name. Would french Visa help anyhow ?

Given that she has a Canadian spouse, a sponsorship app in process, no job, no assets and only temporary status in her current country, her chances are extremely low.
