Hi all,
Me and the girlfriend will be heading over to Canada from Ireland on a IEC visa next May. We hope to get jobs and stay on for the second year and eventually get PR.
I would be interested in going down the CEC route. When my 1 year IEC visa runs out can i apply for a work permit to stay on? Would I have to leave the country to do this?
Would my employer have to run a LMO? (is this sponsorship?) How likely am I to succeed? (I would be classed as skill set B but would I be able to get a LMO on any job?)
Im thinking that I could apply for this, and keep reapplying until I have enough work experience to apply for CEC. How hard is it to get CEC? I'm also going to learn French and do some charity work while there.
To be honest I'm not too sure how the system works, I've been reading what ever I can find but I usually end up more confused
