Hi Everyone,
Good to find a forum like this. Expecting some help from you guys which will be very much appreciated.
I came for my masters in Jan 2011 and completed the course by April 2012 (16 months of education)
I got a job offer in October 2011.
Immediately after my education I applied for a Post Graduate work permit and got it for just 18 months. (Till Jan 2014)...This is my first problem, though my lenght of the PROGRAM is 2 years I just got a work permit for 18 months (I was expecting a 3 years one)
1) So Is there any chance to correct that, or do you feel that's appropriate?
I am planning to apply for PNP, under the category "Masters student - with job offer". According to my knowledge, it might take 1 year for the whole process. Am I right? If that's the case there are high probabilities of my work permit getting expired and needs an extension.
2) Will I get a new work permit after being nominated ny Ontario government. If so how long will that new work permit valid ?
3) I am planning to marry very soon and that might be after getting my PR. How can I get my spouse to Canada. I mean on which status; dependent, work permit, PR?
I've learnt that it might take 6 months from then if I apply for a PR to my spouse. Is that true? Will I be able to get her immediately with me (on a work visa probably) and then apply for a PR after coming to Canada?
Need your suggestions about what can be the best way.
Thanks,
Anvesh
