Hello!

I'm trying to get my girlfriend from Mexico to come visit me for 2 weeks.

We have completed all the form

For "purpose of visit" we simply wrote "I will be visiting my boyfriend and i will stay at his apartment from april 14th to april 28th" (but we did not provide any specific flights)
We provided bank statements from my bank account as she earns no money "My boyfriend has the money and pays for the whole trip ", I myself just have about 1.5k on the bank account but all we're doing is staying home and eating pasta. We also provided pics of us together in Mexico to show proof of relationship, as well as a screenshot of our cheesy conversations. She entered her parents infos, her national ID card as well as her university where she's currently studying. But all we did was listing the university and program she was doing, not provided any document as proof.

After reading about it online, we realize we might be light on proof of tie to her home country and light on the itinerary purposes. I did not realize when making the visa it needed that much explanations since the website is very vague about it. April 14th is coming soon, she already gave her biometrics. I'm wondering if adding maybe an explanation document through the webform with proof she's REALLY attending her college and maybe describing in detail what we plan to do (mainly just staying home lol) is worth it ? Or would that delay the whole thing.
Secondary question would be : Are visitor visas generally refused ? Or am I being paranoid by reading refusal stories online because success stories tend to be shared less. Thanks for reading!

Funds are too low too. What are her ties to return as parents are not a tie? Travel history? Visiting BF can raise red flags if she doesn’t have the money, ties and travel history. Saying I only have a thousand dollars but all were doing is eating pasta is not a valid reason to travel.

Sorry my thread got posted twice. Sometimes I wonder if we should just have not mentioned our relationship at all. Her ties is the fact she's currently studying at university. We didn't actually made the pasta comment, but that's pretty much what we plan to do haha, realistically we only need a couple hundred dollars for her vacations, outside the plane ticket.

I hope you didn’t buy a non-refundable plane ticket. You may not even get a response by April.

What reason(s) did you give that she has to leave ?
Parents aren’t a reason . No job. No money to fund this trip . She can quit school and remain in Canada

So far her ties to remain in Canada outweighs her ties to return
You being the tie , and you paying for everything

People focus on why they want to visit Canada . Most important is why they will leave
And yes , visas get refused all the time
Getting a visa for Canada is difficult.

Sadly we only gave her school degree she's doing. Not sure what else we could give. I'm guessing siblings and friends wouldn't count either.
