GIC or Education loan option?

Hi All,

What will be ideal option to present GIC certificate or education loan copy while applying under university study permit?
And for 2nd option(loan) is it mandatory that loan letter must mention 10000$ as living expenses? Also loan must be 10000$ or can be more?
