Hello everyone

Is there a way to get PR for parents?
I am single and have no one in Canada. I have PR and want to bring my mom here, in Canada on a permanent basis.
I am from a country with high crime rate and always worry when she has to get back home when her visa expires.

We had already applied for H&C program but got refusal letter a month ago. Next step what i see is to apply for family sponsorship program but it is a lottery, no gatantee that we will be picked out whenever.

I just don't know what to do now, screaming for help. Maybe anyone know a way to bring a parent here in Canada

Thanks

There are really two options for living in Canada permanently as a PR. Either you end up being selected through the parent/grandparent sponsorship lottery and sponsor her this way - or she qualifies to immigrate on her own through one of Canada's economic immigration programs like Express Entry. There's no magic wand unfortunately.

Thank you for your reply, Scylla.

Is there provincial nominees for family reunion/sponsorship?

Thank you for your reply, Scylla.

No - not really.

The closest things is probably the Manitoba program - but it's not really a family sponsorship program (it's a skilled worker immigration program) and your mother would still need to meet the economic immigration requirements to apply.

Also, you would need to physically relocate to Manitoba and live there for a year before being able to help her apply through this program.
